Thank you for a record setting year! Due to the four fundrasiers in 2011 and donations received during December we were able to assist SIX families with a total of TWELVE children! The children ranged in ages from 2 to 14 years old. Several families had lost jobs recently and had to move from renting an apartment or home to renting a room. One family found themselves staying in a hotel room. Another family resides in a converted garage with the only room with heat, is their bedroom. Regardkess of their living situation, the children are very happy and very polite. The younger ones especially believe we our Santa's helpers. One little girl, asked me to tell him "Hi". The parents were gratefull and filled with hope when we arrived with gifts and food on Christmas Eve morning. You could see their eyes fill with tears of happiness once they seen the smiles on their kids face.
We want to thank all who participated in our Fundraisers in 2011, donated cash, a Christmas Tree, meals for all the families, an extra turkey, toys and clothes. Thank you to our volunteers of shoppers, wrappers, delivery crews and our staff.
God has brought us all together to serve his purpose. Thank you for sharing your gifts with those who need assistance. We never dreamed eight years ago we would be serving so many and have so many join us on our mission. We truely, truely thank you for making our Mom's legacy of giving, continue on.
